About Julia Davis:

Julia Davis has been influenced by some wonderful teachers in her yoga journey as a yoga teacher and practitoner over then last 20 years.

Her first influence was the wonderful Estelle Eugine.  Estelle introduced Julia to The British Wheel of Yoga and set her on her path towards teaching.

Her next mentor was Barbara Joseph (Jivanmukta) whose work within the Satyananda tradition taught Julia the beauty of yoga asana and pranayama focussed on the chakras (energy centres).

She completed her British Wheel of Yoga Teacher training with Liz Till in 2004, and has completed the Pregnancy Module with Judy Cameron and trained with Lolly Stirk Yogabirth in Postnatal yoga.

She attended John Stirk's inspirational yoga week at In Sabina in Italy where she learned new techniques working strongly with the breath and breath retention which can have very positive effects on the digestive system.

The book "Yoni Shakti" has influenced her work and introduced her to the practice of "Womb Yoga".  She trained with Uma Dinsmore Tuli and is now a Womb Yoga Teacher .  She teaches practices that help young girls as they embark upon menarche (their first period) that help with fertility, menstrual health and maintaining strength and wellbeing through peri-menopause, menopause and into the postmenopause years of wisdom and power.

Most recently Julia taught "Yoga for Menarche, Fertility and a Healthy Menstrual Cycle" and "Postnatal Yoga and Beyond" at the British Wheel of Yoga Congress in April 2017.

She now teaches:

  • Hatha Yoga

  • Over 60s Yoga

  • Restorative Yoga (influenced by Bo Forbes work)

  • Prenatal Yoga

  • Postnatal Yoga

  • Meditation

  • Prananayama (breathing practices)

and is also available to teach private classes all in a bright and spacious yoga studio in Finchley (numbers limited to a maximum of 10).
